Hi! I'm Eling, a registered dietitian/nutritionist in New York City, who helps individuals, groups, and communities reach their nutrition-related health goals.
Why did I become a dietitian? I find nutrition to be fascinating and fun. I love that cuisine is an expression of culture and identity, that dinner tables are a place for people to gather, laugh, and connect, and that real food (the kind that grows from the ground!) has a positive and lasting influence on health.
After studying public health in graduate school and working in NYC's non-profit sector for four years, making nutrition my career focus clicked for me. Helping others heal their relationship with food and empowering them to make food choices that work for them is my jam. I'm passionate about people feeling healthy and well in their body, no matter where they are in their health journey.
Outside of my interest in all things related to nutrition, I'm also a dumpling-making, bike-riding, trivia-loving human. I lead tea tastings at Te Company, and am a proud board member of Brooklyn Queens Land Trust, an organization that protects and supports community gardens in NYC.
My mission as a registered dietitian/nutritionist is to be an honest and friendly source of personalized, evidence-based nutrition information and advice. I believe in making nutrition education and counseling accessible, fun, and free of judgement. I’m an advocate for nutrition services that benefit not just individuals, but the communities that are built around them. My goal is to empower individuals and groups to achieve their personal health goals, and create an environment of curiosity and exploration of how food can play a role in helping every person feel their best.
